Hyundai India sells 49,581 units in November, FY2024 first eight-month sales exceed 400,000

Cumulative April-November 2023 sales at 411,784 units are up 8% YoY and 72% of the company’s record FY2023 sales of 567,546 units.

Hyundai India sells 49,581 units in November, FY2024 first eight-month sales exceed 400,000

Hyundai Motor India has reported domestic market sales of 49,451 units in November 2023, which is a 3% increase over year-ago sales of 48,002 units. Month on month, this November’s numbers are down 10% on October 2023’s 55,128 albeit the festive months of September and October saw higher despatches to dealers.

Commenting on the November sales numbers, Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India, said, “Hyundai Motor India’s SUV line-up continues to exhibit robust momentum, contributing over 60% to our overall sales. Our latest addition, the Hyundai Exter has achieved a major milestone of 100,000 bookings.”

The Creta continues to lead the midsize SUV market in India – between April-October 2023, it sold 96,770 units and averaged monthly sales of 13,824 units. The new Verna sedan is also seeing good customer demand and sold 22,046 units in the same period, up all of 93% YoY (April-October 2022: 11,409 units).

Hyundai Motor India’s cumulative sales for the first eight months of FY2024 have crossed the 400,000-unit mark – at 411,784 units, up 8% YoY, they are already 72.55% of the company’s record FY2023 sales of 567,546 units.
