Hyundai drives past 4 million domestic sales in India

Hyundai Motor India today announced its milestone achievement of four million vehicles in the Indian market. The Korean carmaker’s Indian innings began 19 years ago with the launch of the Hyundai Santro, India’s first tall boy design automobile.
More recently, with the successful launches of the Grand i10, Elite i20, i20 Active and the Creta, Hyundai has witnessed success in the Indian market. The company’s Fluidic Design Sculpture incorporated in Indian products has given a new fillip to Hyundai cars in the market.
HMIL is the largest passenger car exporter and the second largest car manufacturer in India. It currently has 10 car models across segments – Eon, i10, Grand i10, Elite i20, Active i20, Xcent, Verna, Creta, Elantra and Santa Fe. HMIL’s fully integrated state-of-the-art manufacturing plant near Chennai has advanced production, quality and testing capabilities.
