Honda Two-Wheelers expands dealer network to 6,000 in India  

Speedy network expansion sees Japanese two-wheeler more than major doubles its network to 6,000 in the past five years from 2,700 outlets in FY2014.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), which has been implementing an aggressive network expansion plan, yesterday opened its 1000th HEAD (Honda Exclusive Authorised Dealer) with the inauguration of its new 4S (Sales/ Service/ Spares/ Safety) facility at Platinum Honda, Zirakpur (District Mohali), Punjab.

With this, Honda’s total network count in India has now reached the milestone 6000th outlet mark. The company says it is the sole OEM in the Indian two-wheeler industry to double its network count and inaugurate 3,300 new touch-points in the last five years. (From end-FY2014 to FY2019).  

Commenting on the network expansion, Minoru Kato, president and CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said, “I am delighted to be present here at the milestone 1000th Honda dealer inauguration. Honda also fulfilled its commitment of providing 6,000 network touch-points to our customers by the end of current financial year.”

All Honda Authorised Exclusive Dealerships (HEADs), manned by skilled personnel, offer a 4S setup including the industry norm of Sales, Service, Spare Parts and the 4th ‘S’ -- Safety Riding Promotion.
