Honda’s domestic sales down 13 percent

Honda Cars India sold 7,874 units in April in the domestic market and exported 2,042 units. The company had registered 9,072 units in domestic sales and 970 units of export in April 2021.

Domestic sales for April were down 13 percent as compared to the year-earlier month.

The company sold 8,832 units in March 2022 including 6589 units in the domestic market and 2243 units in the export market.

Yuichi Murata, Director, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India said, “The customer sentiment continues to show improvement and positivity, which is reflected in strong demand. However, the supply chain issues remain a challenge for the industry which is impacting the ability to meet the growing demand. We are hopeful that the situation improves sooner than later, so that the demand – supply equation can be more balanced.”

Murata said the company’s new City e:HEV has received an overwhelming response from the market. The car will be launched on May 4.
