Honda inks strategic alliance with HDFC Ergo
The strategic alliance will provide comprehensive two-wheeler insurance cover to all HMSI customers.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with HDFC ERGO General Insurance as a preferred insurance partner for Honda 2Wheelers India.
Present at the MoU signing ceremony were Yadvinder Singh Guleria, senior VP (Sales & Marketing), HMSI; Ritesh Kumar, MD and CEO, HDFC Ergo General Insurance; and Anuj Tyagi, executive director, HDFC ERGO General Insurance.
Elaborating on the partnership, YS Guleria said: “The two-wheeler insurance segment is rapidly evolving with renewals and multi-year policies on the rise. Our partnership with HDFC Ergo General Insurance Company will give our customers more convenience even in their two-wheeler insurance policy. This is truly a win-win situation for our customers who will get 40 percent saving on insurance premium (own-damage) and near-cashless claim settlement with the convenient digital interface.”

Making the new insurance, claim-settlement and policy renewal hassle-free, the new partnership gives triple benefit of near-cashless repairs at over 4,650 Honda two-wheeler network outlets across India; benefit of unlimited claim settlement in insured period with optional zero depreciation benefit; and completely digital interface for all claim settlements across India with a fast turnaround time of just 3 days and easy monitoring of claim settlement status on app.
Announcing the tie-up, HDFC Ergo’s Ritesh Kumar said, “Through this alliance, Honda customers will get a robust online insurance support with instant policy issuance, backed with best-in-class services offered.”
