Honda Cars India sells 18,380 cars in June, up 12.65% YoY

Honda Cars India, which is seeing good demand for its cars, has recorded monthly domestic sales of 18,380 units in June 2015, up 12.65% (June 2014: 16,316).

June sales comprised 7,187 Citys, 6,834 Amaze sedans, 2,336 Jazz hatchbacks, 923 Brios and 1,043 Mobilios.

Honda Cars India, which is seeing good demand for its cars, has recorded monthly domestic sales of 18,380 units in June 2015, up 12.65% (June 2014: 16,316). The sales comprised 7,187 Citys, 6,834 Amaze sedans, 2,336 Jazz hatchbacks, 923 Brios and 1,043 Mobilios. The company is all set to introduce the new Jazz in the domestic market on July 8 and ahead of the launch has despatched its first lot of the new third-generation car to its dealerships across the country.  

In the first quarter of 2015-16, it has sold a total of 44,447 units, marking a growth of 9% (April-June 2014: 40,718).

Speaking on the company’s performance, Jnaneswar Sen, senior vice-president (Marketing & Sales), Honda Cars India, said, “We are confident that we will continue to do well in respective segments. The new Honda Jazz will help us make further inroads in the Indian market.”

The carmaker also exported a total of 350 units during June 2015.
