Honda Cars India introduces new Amaze SX variant

New Delhi, January 15, 2014: Honda Cars India has introduced a new SX variant of the Amaze saloon with added safety features. Positioned above the S trim, the SX variant will be available in both petrol and diesel options with a manual transmission and will feature front dual airbags in addition to the features available in the S variant. Pricing for the SX petrol is Rs 622,640 while the diesel model costs Rs 712,240 (ex-showroom Delhi).

In addition, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), which comes as standard equipment in all variants of the diesel Amaze, will now be offered in the petrol SX apart from the top-end VX petrol variant. The Amaze range has now been expanded and the entry level saloon is available in 12 variants – E, EX, S, SX (new) and VX (petrol and diesel) and S AT and VX AT (petrol only).

Jnaneswar Sen, senior vice-president (Marketing and Sales), said: “The Amaze has witnessed great success in the Indian market by selling more than 60,000 units since its launch in April 2013 and has been a game changer for Honda. It is our constant endeavour to study customers’ needs and aspirations and to introduce features that enhance the overall ownership experience. We are pleased to introduce the SX variant of the Amaze with added safety features. The S variant has been the most popular variant in the Amaze range and with the addition of the SX variant, we are confident that this new variant will appeal and bring delight to the customers seeking safety features at the volume range.”
