Honda Cars India’s Rajesh Goel steps down

Rajesh Goel, Senior Vice-President & Director, Marketing & Sales of Honda Cars India has called it a day after 25 years with the Japanese automaker. He will be with the company till December 24, 2021.

In a communication, seen by Autocar India, Goel said: “After working for more than 25 years with Honda, I have now taken the tough but considered decision to move on. I will look at a few options for myself, as I take a small sabbatical for a few months. I have decided to not join any car company / HCIL competitor as part of my moral obligation.”

In an official statement, Honda Cars India said: “Rajesh Goel has tendered his resignation for personal reasons and decided to pursue other interests outside the organisation. Mr Goel has been a part of HCIL ever since its inception and has made an invaluable contribution to our business while leading several critical functions in the company. We wish him the very best in his future endeavours. It has been decided Mr Yuichi Murata will take charge as Director, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd.”
