Honda Cars’ domestic sales down 22 percent
HCIL's production and sales continues to be affected by the semiconductor shortage
Honda Cars India recorded monthly domestic sales of 7,187 units in February 2022. The export numbers for the company stood at 2,337 units in February 2022.
The company had registered 9,324 units in domestic sales and 987 units of export in February 2021. Yuichi Murata, Director, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India said, “We are witnessing improvement in consumer sentiment as the Covid situation seems to be tapering off and markets are opening up. This is positive for the industry. On supply side, chip shortage continues to impact our production and despatches in February 2022.
