Honda 2Wheelers India sells 21,000 units, services 250,000 since re-opening dealerships
HMSI reports growing sales momentum at dealers, 45% of whom have re-opened since May 4.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has announced that since the re-opening of its network outlets in a phased manner on May 4 and resuming despatches this week, the retail sales momentum has started building up. The company claims retail sales have crossed the 21,000-unit mark since 45 percent of Honda dealers and 30 percent of its total network touch-points re-opened.
Meanwhile, in the same time, nearly 250,000 Honda customers got their two-wheelers serviced at Honda dealerships and authorised service outlets across India. HMSI says all these outlets are firmly adhering to the guidelines issued by the government and also ensuring their processes and infrastructure readiness as per a comprehensive Dealership Operations Resumption Manual- released by Honda.
Commenting on how Honda is prioritising customer and staff safety while managing business continuity across its network, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director – Sales & Marketing, HMSI, said, “In these challenging times, Honda 2Wheelers India is cautiously moving forward synergising with the new ecosystem. Safeguarding people's health and well-being, the Honda network is well equipped and geared to delight customers. With ready availability of six of India’s BS VI products, we are seeing increasing offtake in retails by the day. Growing numbers of vehicles reporting at our touch-points for servicing is a testimony to customers’ trust and assurance in Honda and our network readiness to serve them while taking care of new hygiene and social distancing norms.”
HMSI has also announced a number of customer-friendkly retail finance schemes. Honda customers can now avail up to 100% loan to value, low down-payment and savings going upto Rs. 12,000. Online booking is also available at many Honda dealerships.
