Gurpratap Boparai joins Mahindra & Mahindra as CEO for the automotive business in Europe, which includes Automobili Pininfarina and Peugeot Motorcycles. This is as per the company's internal memo circulated to inform the employees about the appointment.
Boparai will be based at Chakan in Mahindra & Mahindra.
In early December 2021, Boprai had stepped down as Managing Director of Skoda Volkswagen Auto India after successfully steering VW Group’s ambitious India 2.0 programme for three years since his appointment in April, 2018.
