Greaves E-Mobility sells over 7,500 units in October, clocks 85% growth in Q2 FY2022
Growing demand for last-mile mobility and low TCO products drives demand for EV maker.
Greaves Electric Mobility, the e-mobility arm of Greaves Cotton and one of the market leaders in the electric two- and three-wheelers segments, has reported strong year-on-year growth, both in October as well as Q2 FY2022 (July-September 2021).
While October 2021’s sales were over 7,500 units, cumulative sales in the second quarter of the ongoing fiscal were 13,280 units, which constitutes YoY growth of 85% (Q2 FY2021: 7,178 units). Clearly, this is yet another EV maker which is benefitting from the growing demand for EVs, particularly in the face of high petrol and diesel prices. It is understood that Greaves E-Mobility is seeing sizeable demand emerge from non-metro regions.
The recently launched Magnus EX e-scooter, priced at Rs 68,999 (ex-showroom Pune) and capable of a 121km range on a single charge, is seeing strong market demand, according to the company. Also, the company is witnessing an uptick in dealership inquiries – it claims to have received over 5,000 enquiries for potential dealership opportunities from multiple towns and cities across the country.
Greaves E-Mobility’s product portfolio comprises e-scooters, e-cycles, e-autos, e-loaders and e-rickshaws and retrofitted accessories for both personal and commercial use. Its retail footprint has over 7,000 touch-points, 12,000 mechanics on staff, and a dedicated on-call support team.
