GM India to hike vehicle prices by up to Rs 10,000

May 21, 2013: General Motors India has announced that it plans to increase vehicle prices from the first week of June. According to P Balendran, vice-president, General Motors India, "We have decided to increase the prices of all our vehicles by up to Rs.10,000 depending upon the model on account of increase in transportation costs/logistics due to a hike in diesel prices. In percentage terms, the increase goes up to 1.5 pe cent depending on the model.

In April 2013, the carmaker sold 8,196 units, a 3.47 percent year-on-year growth.
