General Motors India has awarded Geico SpA, the Italian leader in original coating plants for the automotive industry, its safety performance award for work completed at its new Talegaon plant.

Geico has been involved in a number of other projects in India. Since it bagged the first contract with GM in September 2006, it has received various other contracts with Man Force Trucks in Pithampur, for Fiat Tata in Ranjangaon and for Renault & Nissan in Chennai. Meanwhile, Geico Paint Shop India has recently set up a new office in Pune.
Geico has built some of the most significant plants throughout the world, integrating already existing plants, modernising virtually obsolete lines and also building greenfield turnkey factories. Thanks to the exclusive acquisition of Haden and Drysys’s patents and intellectual properties in 2008, Geico has enhanced the verticalisation of paintshop technologies as well as securing its intellectual know-how worldwide.
As main contractor, Geico supplies all production processes in one plant: pre-treatment and ED lines, ovens and cooler systems, painting booths, robots and application systems, handling systems, repair lines, paint mixing and piping systems, vision systems for application, production control plus supervision systems and treatment plants for water, gas, liquid and chemical products.
Geico’s and Haden’s main customers are Audi, Volkswagen, BMW, CNH, Daimler, Ferrari, Fiat, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Piaggio, Pininfarina, Renault, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Sevel, Saipa and Toyota.
