From rubber to now motorcycles, the Pune- based Garware Bestretch Ltd has made a new move. The company has entered the two-wheeler space through Garware Motors, a wholly owned subsidiary. Garware Motors has struck a strategic partnership with Korea’s S&T Motors, which owns Hyosung Motors. The Korean company will partner Garware Motors to assemble, market and sell Hyosung two-wheelers and ATVS in the Indian market.

Garware Motors with the help of S&T Motors will set up an assembly plant at Wai in Maharashtra with a capacity to manufacture 8-10 bikes a day. The plant would have a full fledged assembly line, CKD storage facility, test track and a quality centre. Hyosung will provide Garware with technical and manpower support
