Fuel prices see upward revision
This is the second instance of a price hike in the past fifteen days, and the fourth during this year. Fuel prices are revised in India on the 1st and 16th of every month.
Diesel and petrol have become dearer from today. State-run oil marketing companies have hiked the price of petrol by Rs. 3.13 per litre and diesel price has been increased by Rs. 2.71 a litre. A 'steep' increase in international prices of petrol and diesel and the depreciation of the Indian rupee have been cited as the reasons for the hike in prices.
