Fiat India inaugurates new dealership in Kolkata

Kolkata, September 20, 2013: Fiat Group Automobiles India inaugurated a new dealership, Garodia Fiat, in Kolkata yesterday.

Kolkata, September 20, 2013: Fiat Group Automobiles India inaugurated a new dealership, Garodia Fiat, in Kolkata yesterday. While the showroom is spread across 8,000 square feet and can display 8 cars, the service back-up is in the form of a 25,000 square foot state-of-the-art workshop.

The dealership was inaugurated by Nagesh Basavanhalli, president and managing director, Fiat Chrysler India Operations. He said: “Fiat India views Kolkata as a very strategic market and the inauguration of an exclusive dealership is in accordance with our strategy to capitalise on this potential. We are confident that our association with Garodia Fiat will play a crucial role in identifying the customer base and enhancing customer experience in Kolkata.”

The Italian carmaker is aggressively focussing on increasing its footprint in India and the new dealership is in line with its expansion strategy. Till now, Fiat India has launched over 75 exclusive dealerships and plans to grow this number to over 100 by the end of this year.

Ashish Garodia, director, Garodia Fiat, said, “We are extremely proud to become exclusive dealers of Fiat Group Automobiles India in Kolkata and with an experienced management team and well trained technicians we are confident of replicating world class dealership and after-sales experience to the car buyers here”

Fiat India currently sells the Linea and Punto models and is gearing up to launch Jeep brand products like the Grand Cherokee and Wrangler in India.
