EXCLUSIVE! Thomas Kuehl moves from Skoda to parent, VW Group

November 6, 2012: Thomas Kuehl, who was seen as the face of Skoda Auto India, has taken up the role of director, group corporate strategy and processes of the Volkswagen Group. This new role will see Kuehl involved in the future strategy of all VW Group brands in India which include Volkswagen, Skoda, Audi, Porsche and Lamborghini. According to company sources, Kuehl is likely to be given the job of integrating the Bentley brand into the Volkswagen National Sales Company (NSC). Currently, Bentley cars are retailed through importer Exclusive Motors. Kuehl will report into VW India's Group CEO, Gerry Dorizas.

Kuehl was the board member (sales & marketing) at Skoda Auto India and was instrumental in enhancing the Skoda brand’s reach in India. Sudhir Rao, who was appointed as managing director, Skoda Auto India, is currently leading Skoda Auto India.
