Escorts sells 7,240 tractors in February 2019, up 12%
Escorts Agri Machinery, the tractor segment of the Escorts group has registered robust sales in the domestic and international markets.
Escorts Agri Machinery segment (EAM), the Faridabad-based farm mechanisation company has sold 7,240 tractors in February 2019, up by 12 percent over February 2018 (6,462 tractors). A part of the Escorts group, EAM has registered a YoY growth of 23.1 percent in the YTD period of FY2019.
In the domestic market, EAM sold 6,918 tractors, registering a growth of 9.9 percent as against 6,295 tractors in February 2018. The company has claimed that its export figures also saw a growth with 322 tractors. Thus, registering a growth of 92.8 percent as against 167 tractors in February 2018.
Speaking of the year to date (YTD – April 2018to February 2019) of FY2019, Escorts has reported a growth of 23.1 percent with the total sales (domestic and exports) amounting to 84,507 units. In the same period, Escorts Agri Machinery exported 2,615 (50.5%) units and 81,892 (22.4%) units in the domestic markets.
