Escorts sells 13,140 tractors in October 2018, up 28.8%
Exports contributed to 2 percent of the total sales volume in the month of October.
Escorts, a Faridabad-based engineering conglomerate, has reportedly sold 13,140 tractors in the month of October as against 10,205 units in the previous year. The tractors are sold under the aegis of Escorts Agri Machinery (EAM).
As per reports, EAM sold 12,867 tractors in the domestic market in the month of October. Thus, registering a growth of 28.7 percent against 10,001 tractors in October 2017. Their export figures that include their sales in Nepal and Bhutan registered a growth of 33.8 percent in October 2018, with 273 tractors as against 204 in October 2017.
In the April to October period, EAM has reported an overall YoY growth of 21.9 percent with an increase of 10,549 units to 58,673 units. In the domestic market, during the same period, the company has recorded a YoY growth of 22 percent to post 57,359 units. Exports contributed to 2.24 percent of the total volume in the same period .
Escorts is diversified in to three different segments- Escorts Agri Machinery (EAM), Escorts Construction Equipment (ECE) and Railway Equipment Division (RED).
