ELCINA kicks off study

The Electronic Industries Association of India (Elcina) is working on a study to assess the electronic industry in the country as there is dearth of authentic data. This study, the first of its kind, has been taken up with a research agency and will cover most of the manufacturing pockets in India.

Rajoo Goel, secretary general, Elcina, said the study will attempt to cover more than 80 percent of the electronic manufacturers across the country. The auto industry has seen significant growth, however, the growth in automotive electronics, in some segments, has been lower than expectations.
