April 20: Eicher has rolled out its new 11.14 truck, a 14.5T GVW model. The company claims this product will redefine and change the image of the 9 to 9.5-tonne payload segment with its features and benefits.

This 14.5T GVW truck aims to carry forward the legacy of Eicher-branded light and medium duty trucks. According to VinodAggarwal, CEO, VE Commercial Vehicles, “The highly fuel efficient Eicher 11.14 with its value delivery at relatively lower cost is all set to bring about a profitable change in the way the 9 to 9.5-tonne payload capacity trucks operate in India”.

The Eicher 11.14, according to the company, is the result of extensive research and will bridge the gap between the 12/13-tonne and 16-tonne segments, he added. It will create and establish a new segment which will attract customers of the 16T market by providing them the benefit of a heavy duty truck along with the savings inherent in a medium duty truck.

Eicher is targeting the new product for applications and segments which are currently being catered by 12/13 T-16T heavy duty trucks. These include water tankers and vehicles used for parcel service, machinery transport, pharmaceuticals, gas cylinder transportation and courier segments.
