Doko, with functions such as remote motorcycle finder and anti-theft alarm, is slated for launch in India later this year.

Denso Corporation, which is participating in the 13th Auto Expo 2016 Components Show, which will be held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, (February 4-7), will showcase a variety of products and technologies, mainly in the areas of safety and the environment.

The global supplier’s safety products and technologies, which are essential for advanced safety systems, will include a sensing technology that uses vision sensors and millimeter-wave radar sensors, and advanced driving support systems with V2X communication technology to connect vehicles to infrastructure and to other vehicles.

The environmental products and technologies on display will include direct gasoline injection systems, diesel common rail systems, and electric vehicle and hybrid electric vehicle-related products, all of which contribute to improving vehicle fuel efficiency.

Denso also will exhibit ‘Doko’, a motorcycle accessory which has been developed specifically for the Indian market. Doko can enhance users’ convenience with its functions such as remote motorcycle finder and anti-theft. It consists of a controller carried by the rider and a receiver mounted on the motorbike. The rider uses the controller to make the turn signals start flashing and the motorcycle to make a beeping sound in order for it to be easily located in a parking lot.

Furthermore, Doko also works as an anti-theft device. It keeps the turn signals flashing and an alarm sounding to alert nearby people when its built-in receiver detects a sudden force applied to the bike at rest, or when the ignition switch is directly connected to the battery.

Doko, which is slated to be launched later this year, was developed at Denso International India, the company’s technical centre in India to meet the needs of the market which is dominated by motorcycles.
