Daimler India CV expands BharatBenz dealer network to 225 showrooms

Two new dealerships in Andhra Prdesh take the commercial vehicle manufacturer’s network to 225; 43 new dealerships set up in 2019, which constitutes 23 percent growth over 2018.

Daimler India CV expands BharatBenz dealer network to 225 showrooms

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), in association with Varun Trucking, today inaugurated a new 3S state-of-the-art BharatBenz dealership in Guntur and another touchpoint in Kadapa, both of which will cater to BharatBenz trucks and buses in Andhra Pradesh. Varun Dev, MD, Varun Trucking along with Satyakam Arya, MD and CEO, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) inaugurated the dealership.

Speaking at the event, DICV’s Satyakam Arya commented, “We have now inaugurated our 225th touchpoint, up from 182 last year. Despite the economic slowdown, we continue full speed ahead with our determination to expand our network, bringing BharatBenz quality service and products to our valued customers across India.”

The spacious 3S (sales, service, spares) facility in Guntur has five mechanical bays and three accidental bays, while the Kadapa dealership has four mechanical bays. Both dealerships have trained manpower who understand the diverse needs of the customers and will provide onsite services. They come equipped with high productivity tools, advanced guided diagnostics and mobile service vans. The dealerships will provide a host of value-added services such as cashless zero-depreciation insurance, full maintenance contracts, extended warranty, 24x7 roadside assistance, vehicle tracking systems, and driver training.

With the latest dealerships, BharatBenz now has 10 network touchpoints – eight run by Varun Trucking and two more by Sri Harsha Trucking – in Andhra Pradesh.

DICV produces and sells in India above 9 to 55 tons trucks as well as BharatBenz buses, Mercedes-Benz coaches and bus chassis. DICV’s state-of-the-art manufacturing plant at Oragadam near Chennai is spread over 400 acres including a modern test track and is home to the company’s headquarters, R&D and training operations. With one global quality standard, it also produces for Daimler Trucks’ brands of Fuso, Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner. Products and parts are exported to more than 50 markets in the Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. DICV represents an overall investment of more than Rs 5,500 crore.

Within six years after market launch, BharatBenz has already handed over more than 90,000 vehicles to customers in India.
