Chennai, July 12, 2013: Daimler India Commercial Vehicles rolled out its 5,000th truck from its manufacturing facility in Oragadam, near Chennai, on July 10.

Chennai, July 12, 2013: Daimler India Commercial Vehicles rolled out its 5,000th truck from its manufacturing facility in Oragadam, near Chennai, on July 10. After starting production of its BharatBenz range of trucks in June 2012, DICV launched its heavy-duty trucks on September 26, 2012, in Mumbai. Subsequently, the manufacturer launched its Light/Medium-duty range in February this year. DICV also launched the new FUSO range of trucks at its plant on May 23, 2013, as part of its well-coordinated Asia Business Model.
DICV is stabilising its production line of all its launched models. Currently, DICV produces the 2523, 3123, 2528, 914, 1214 and 1217 (Heavy, Medium/Light-duty rigid & tipper trucks) with several variants.
