Ceat’s Steel Plus tyres go on Ashok Leyland’s Dost Plus export model
The company's new Steel Plus LCV tyres have been approved for factory fitment on the Ashok Leyland Dost Plus left-hand-drive export model.
Tyre major Ceat has announced that its new Steel Plus LCV tyres have been approved for factory fitment on the Ashok Leyland Dost Plus left-hand-drive export model.
The tyres, according to Ceat, have a customised sturdy and reinforced design to suit the vehicle’s heavy loading needs. The Ceat Steel Plus tyre has a square shoulder block tread pattern, optimised groove depth and a squarish shoulder that help enhance stability and vehicle control. The company says the tyre has top-notch pitch distribution and balanced carcass tension that ensures low noise, while versatile traction properties and the wide tread crown help deliver higher mileage. The Ceat Steel Plus is available as a 15-incher, front and rear.
Commenting on the new tyre, Nitish Bajaj, vice-president – Marketing, Ceat, said: “We are delighted that a brand like Ashok Leyland has chosen Ceat Steel Plus tubeless tyres for its first left-hand-drive vehicle in the light commercial vehicle segment. It is our priority to manufacture tyres that can support the vehicle under required road and load conditions with better control on the road.
Ceat, the flagship company of RPG Enterprises, produces over 15 million tyres and radials for heavy-duty trucks and buses, light commercial vehicles, earthmovers, forklifts, tractors, trailers, cars, motorcycles and scooters as well as autorickshaws.
