CEAT Tyres, a leading tyre manufacturer has introduced new contactless initiative to ensure safety of its customers and business continuity for its dealer partners. The new services offerings include contactless pick and drop service, appointment-based service and in-shop measures undertaken at the shops.

The tyre maker says the doorstep services are being offered in prime metropolitan areas to ensure that vehicles are serviced, sanitised and ready for the road. CEAT says these initiatives will not only take care of all tyre-related issues of the customers safely and efficiently, but also ensure regular business for the its partners. The services are launched in a phased manner across India and will be available in 22 cities in the next seven days.

Under the contactless pick-up and drop facility the vehicle is picked up from the customer’s doorstep, the required service is provided at a CEAT Shoppe, and the vehicle is then dropped back to the customer’s place. This facility ensures that customers receive reliable services without stepping outside their homes. The appointment-based service reduces wait time to a large extent wherein customers give a missed call on a dedicated number to book an appointment at the nearest CEAT Shoppe. They can then visit the CEAT Shoppe at the allotted time and avail the services. This practice will considerably decrease the chances of physical contact with others. The company is also looking to introduce a WhatsApp based service, wherein queries can be answered, and appointments can be booked through a WhatsApp message.

Amit Tolani, chief marketing officer, CEAT Tyres said, “CEAT is fully committed towards ‘Making Mobility Safer and Smarter’. At a time when the country is battling the coronavirus threat, safety and convenience of our customers is of utmost importance. The introduction of a contactless service showcases our commitment to maintaining safety norms and hygiene at our CEAT Shoppe. The Shoppe comes with a capability/is designed in a way to address all of customers’ vehicular needs with the highest safety precautions in place. The intent is twofold, to make tyre maintenance safe and easy for customers and to ensure business continuity of our dealer partners.”

As part of maintaining hygiene, CEAT says its retail touchpoints are sanitised daily before opening and all customer interaction areas are cleaned at regular intervals throughout the day. Customers are also scanned at the entrance and provided with liquid hand sanitisers. The company also encourages digital payments for a contactless experience. All the vehicles are sanitised before and after service. The safety initiatives undertaken by CEAT aim to take care of all tyre-related issues safely and efficiently.
