Myles claims to have the largest network of self-drive service in India and aims to expand to 50 cities by the end of 2015. It has a presence in 21 cities and a fleet of 800 cars. The company says all its vehicles – from electric cars, SUVs to luxury cars – are centrally tracked through GPS technologies and enable consumers to find a car within walking distance of their location through a simple mobile application. At present, the company has a fleet of Etios cars in Coimbatore.
In the next three years, Carzonrent is also looking at increasing the Myles fleet to 40,000.
Commenting on the expansion, Sakshi Vij, executive director, Carzonrent, said, “We received several calls to inquire about our presence in Coimbatore, which is when we realised about the potential it has. We are receiving bookings for Coimbatore- Ooty-Coimbatore, Coimbatore-Coonor-Coimbatore, and Coimbatore-Thrissur-Coimbatore.
Carzonrent currently has a fleet size of 10,000 cars and offers services like radio taxi (EasyCabs), self-drive(Myles), intra-city, outstation and limousine service. The company, which plans to expand its fleet size to 30,000 cars in the coming three years, says it caters to over 25,000 travelers every day in different parts of the country.
