BYD India to supply 100 e6 MPVs to cab service provider Evera

BYD India has bagged a supply order for 100 all-electric e6 MPVs from Evera, which provides app-based EV cab service services in New Delhi.

The handover over of the BYD e6 was conducted in presence of Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Senior VP, Electric Passenger Vehicle Business, BYD India; Shrirang Joshi, National Sales Head, Electric Passenger Vehicle Business, BYD India and the Evera co-founders Nimish Trivedi, Vikas Bansal and Rajeev Tiwari.

Evera’s Nimish Trivedi said, “With the BYD e6, we are excited to continue our electric vehicle fleet operation with our shared value of sustainable energy solutions that come together to help reduce carbon emissions.”

BYD India’s Sanjay Gopalakrishnan commented, “We are delighted to receive one of the largest e6 orders from Evera. We will be delivering 100 BYD e6 EVs over the next few months to add to their EV fleet. The performance of the all-new e6 is very encouraging and we expect to witness a sustainable growth with surging popularity of the electric vehicles in the national capital.”

 

“BYD India aims to associate with like-minded organizations focusing on fleet electrification across the country. We are devoted to reducing carbon emissions and increasing awareness of EV adoption and sustainable development. We will bring more such e-mobility solutions for India,” he added.

The BYD e6, which is India’s first premium electric MPV, is equipped with 71.7 kWh Blade Battery supporting a WLTC (city) range of 520km and a WLTC (combined) range of 415km on a single charge. It also supports DC fast charging, allowing a charge from 30% to 80% within 35 minutes.

The e6 has a vehicle warranty of 3 years/125,000km, a battery cell warranty of 8 years/500,000km, and a traction motor warranty of 8 years/150,000km.

BYD India plans to more than double its dealer footprint to 53 by end-2023 from the 24 retail outlets it had at the end of 2022. Its existing network covers Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
