Bosch transforms Adugodi HQ into a “smart” workplace

Bosch is expanding its artificial intelligence of things or Alot activities in India by transforming its headquarters in Adugodi, on the outskirts of Bengaluru, into a technologically enabled office that has been christened Spark.NXT.

The new facility was inaugurated yesterday by the prime minister who described Bosch as a company that is “as much Indian as German”. Karnataka state CM, Basavaraj Bommai who was also present, said, “This campus showcases R&D capabilities in both automotive and non-automotive products and services.” 

The 76-acre site features several “smart” solutions in the new workspace based on sustainability, security, and user experience for associates, visitors, and facility management, the company said. These solutions were developed by the company’s own associates, Bosch said on its website. Over the last five years, Bosch has invested Rs 800 crore in developing Spark.NXT which can potentially house 10,000 associates. 

As an AloT company, Bosch India leveraged its world-class Al, loT, automation, and digitalisation capabilities to develop its smart campus in pursuit of its vision for a sustainable, self-reliant, and future-ready India, it said to further enhance its R&D capabilities for the new way of working, Bosch India has also trained over 10,000 associates through a comprehensive re-skilling initiative over 2 years.

Filiz Albrecht, member of the board of management and director of Industrial Relations at Robert Bosch GmbH, said, "Bosch brings together associates from more than 150 different countries. With its array of smart solutions, this campus proves our commitment to creating a greener ecosystem. This empowers us to remain an employer of choice while driving sustainability in everything we do.”  Albrecht will look after the Indian region from the 1st of July 2022.
