Bosch inaugurates new Technical Centre.
Bosch Chassis Systems India inaugurated a world-class Technical Centre on February 9 at Chakan, near Pune. The Centre was inaugurated by Gerhard Steiger, president, Chassis Systems Brakes Division, Robert Bosch GmbH, Germany.

Bosch Chassis Systems India inaugurated a world-class Technical Centre on February 9 at Chakan, near Pune. The Centre was inaugurated by Gerhard Steiger, president, Chassis Systems Brakes Division, Robert Bosch GmbH, Germany.
The Technical Centre will provide total design, development and testing framework to Indian automobile manufacturers. These include Noise Vibration and Harshness, integration of the newest simulation models, competence in hydraulic braking systems, with friction material and close coordination with brake modulation like ABS and ESP.
The Centre will also extend its services to some overseas automobile companies which find the Centre cost effective for their low/medium volume requirements
The Technical Centre has been set up with an investment of Rs 37 crore and currently employs around 70 qualified engineers.
On the same day, Frieder Megerle, senior vice-president, Chassis Systems Control Division, Robert Bosch GmbH, Germany also inaugurated the ABS manufacturing facility of Bosch Chassis Systems India at the Chakan plant. With the establishment of the new production site, Bosch is the first to produce ABS in India.
