October 17, 2012: Bosch Automotive Aftermarkets has launched over 100 service centres in North India. With simultaneous inauguration of all centres in a single day, 10 outlets have been opened in Delhi, 43 in Punjab, Chandigarh and neighbouring Panchkula and 47 in Uttar Pradesh which accounted for the largest share.

Aimed at bridging the large service network gap in the country, this addition, says Bosch, is also one of the largest expansions in the automotive industry at one go. These service centres will provide service to all brands across different segments of unit repair (Fuel Injection Systems, Auto Electrical Units) and entire vehicular repair.

The service outlets will include BCS (Bosch Car Service – for in-depth diagnosis and consequent repair and service of passenger cars), ECS (Express Car Service – regular and quick car service needs of a customer), EBS (Express Bike Service – for two-wheelers), BDS (Bosch Diesel Service – for M&HCVs) and EM (Electronic Module – for auto electrical repair and maintenance).

Bosch has 16 training centres countrywide where the workshops have easy access to the latest technology knowhow. S Muralidharan, vice-president (automotive aftermarket), Bosch Ltd, said: “Through our aggressive expansion plan we wish to fill the vacuum in the automotive service space & hope to continue the momentum

According to an ACMA study, Delhi is one of the biggest markets for the aftermarket with the passenger vehicle with an aftermarket potential of Rs 720 crore.
