Bilstein Group to enter truck market in India with Febi brand, to also introduce Blue Print spare parts brand for cars

New Delhi, February 8, 2013: German solution provider Ferdinand Bilstein GmbH & Co KG that dabbles in an extensive range of auto components for the passenger car and truck segments in the aftermarket and spare parts market is in discussions with prospective partners for entering the truck business in India.



The company, which is participating at ACMA Automechanika, has a product range of 6,000 units is considering introducing about 2,000 parts in India for the truck market.



It already has a presence in the premium passenger car market in the country with its Febi brand primarily for European carmakers like Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen and Skoda. A product basket of 3,000 Febi-branded components is at present available in this segment spanning steering and suspension parts, engine components, brake parts, filters, electrical components and fluids.

According to Michael Steck, regional director (Middle East, Africa & India), the company is now planning to introduce its Asian brand -- Blue Print -- -- as a complete spare parts solution for Korean and Japanese cars. This concept, introduced in September 2010, is aimed at resolving daily problems faced by the independent market with a comprehensive product range of sensors, ignition modules, injectors and washer pumps among others.



Blue Print solutions focus on research, sourcing and marketing of niche products and service solutions for customers and product installers with captive or specialist parts, re-engineered parts after removing original manufacturing weaknesses. These are also upgraded for durability and are supported by specialist tools and software.
