Bengaluru gets 25 new charging stations for EVs; 435 more planned across India
The charging stations have been setup by Mahindra Reva electric vehicles on a pilot basis at six locations around Bengaluru. Based on the proposals received under the scheme, future charging infrastructure would be sanctioned in selected cities/locations by the Department of Heavy Industries.

Goyal has informed that the Project Implementation & Sanctioning Committee (PISC), under the chairmanship of Secretary, Department of Heavy Industries has also sanctioned 435 charging stations to be installed in various cities across India.
He also stated that the supply of electricity in E-mobility business, including setting up of vehicle charging infrastructure will be included in the long-term corporate plan of NTPC.
