BASF launches Glysantin brand of engine coolants at ACMA Automechanika

New Delhi, February 9, 2013: Germany-based BASF has launched its Glysantin brand of engine coolants (Europe’s largest selling engine coolant) for the Indian aftermarket at the ongoing ACMA Automechanika in New Delhi.

New Delhi, February 9, 2013: Germany-based BASF has launched its Glysantin brand of engine coolants (Europe’s largest selling engine coolant) for the Indian aftermarket at the ongoing ACMA Automechanika in New Delhi. According to a company official, the Glysantin range of engine coolants are premium coolants for passenger cars and commercial vehicles and the company is currently working to set up dealerships for select pockets in northern, southern and western India.

Talking about Glysantin G30, the official informed that it is a premium grade coolant that is free of silicates and employs organic acid technology which contains corrosion inhibitors to protect the cooling system. The Glysantin G30 is officially approved for all Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, MAN, Seat, Skoda, Volkswagen and Porsche (built as from 1996) cars. This coolant is also good for Chevrolet, Citroen, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Kia, Land Rover, Mazda, Nissan, Mitsubishi and many other brands.



On the other hand, the Glysantin G48 is a premium grade coolant which uses hybrid technology and contains a mixture of inorganic and organic corrosion inhibitors to protect the cooling system. The G48 is officially approved for BMW, Maybach, Mercedes, Mini with petrol engines (made from 2007 onwards), Rolls-Royce, Volvo and others. According to company sources, it also protects Chrysler and Ferrari cars.

Glysantin was first patented by BASF in 1929 and is a widely recognised and an awarded brand in Europe.
