Bajaj Auto motorcycle sales down 8 percent in August

September 2, 2013: Bajaj Auto, which has recently resolved a long-drawn-out labour issue at its Chakan plant, has reported a fall of 8 percent in motorcycle sales (domestic and exports) on a year-on-year basis to 278,583 units in August 2013 compared to 304,352 units sold in August 2012.

September 2, 2013: Bajaj Auto, which has recently resolved a long-drawn-out labour issue at its Chakan plant, has reported a fall of 8 percent in motorcycle sales (domestic and exports) on a year-on-year basis to 278,583 units in August 2013 compared to 304,352 units sold in August 2012. In the year to date (April-August 2013), motorcycle sales are down 13 percent to 1,385,562 units compared to 1,595,833 units in the year-ago period.
