Baba Kalyani awarded ‘Doctor of Science’ by Deakin University
Baba Kalyani, chairman and managing director of Bharat Forge, has been awarded the Doctor of Science honoris causa by Peter Meehan, deputy chancellor, Deakin University.
Baba Kalyani, chairman and managing director of Bharat Forge, has been awarded the Doctor of Science honoris causa by Peter Meehan, deputy chancellor, Deakin University. He was accorded the honour at the University’s Waterfront Campus in Geelong, Australia on August 20.
Speaking at the occasion, vice-chancellor Professor Jane den Hollander said that Deakin University had conferred the Honorary Doctorate in recognition of Mr Kalyani's distinguished services to the global scientific and technological community and his strong support for community education.
"Mr Kalyani has enriched the Bharat Forge Group through sound business governance and management practices in the face of a rapidly changing marketplace. With business experience of over three decades, he understands that innovation is critical to the ongoing success of any business,” she added.
