AVTEC bags ‘Excellence in TPM’ award
The TPM Awards, which are under the aegis of the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM), cover operations of the company from the shopfloor to the executive boardroom, to record the commitment to production excellence.
AVTEC has announced that it has received the ‘Award for Excellence in Consistent TPM Commitment 2015’ at the JIPM award ceremony held in Kyoto, Japan on March 23, 2016.
The TPM Awards, which are under the aegis of the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM), cover operations of the company from the shopfloor to the executive boardroom, to record the commitment to production excellence.
The award recognises the company’s integrity towards systems, processes and quality measurements that are strictly followed at all of AVTEC’s Indian manufacturing units at Pithampur, Chennai and Hosur.
AVTEC's automotive business unit manufactures a wide range of products to suit diverse applications. It undertakes proprietary and contract manufacturing of petrol and diesel engines and transmissions for passenger cars, SUVs and light and medium commercial vehicles.

Backed by strong engineering capabilities in India and Europe, supply chain development expertise and a committed vendor base, AVTEC has been able to develop and deliver a broad set of products based on customer needs. The company’s automotive offerings are also backed by deep R&D capabilities in India and Switzerland.
AVTEC’s manufacturing units in Pithampur near Indore and Hosur in Tamil Nadu, are engaged in the proprietary products and contract manufacturing of engines and transmission aggregates for some global OEMs such as GM, Ford, Renault-Nissan and Daimler.
