Audi India appoints new sales chief

Audi AG has appointed Niraj Srivastava as head of sales replacing Anil Reddi who had moved on to a group position.

Audi AG has appointed Niraj Srivastava as head of sales replacing Anil Reddi who had moved on to a group position. Srivastava, with over 20 years of experience was with Tata Motors as is head, car product group, before joining Audi.

Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India said: “We have set a decisive course in India to growing our sales and ranking in the country and have already achieved the No.2 position in the first quarter. We have ambitious targets not only to increase sales but widen our network.

Audi recently opened its second showroom in Madhya Pradesh, its first being at Indore which was inaugurated over a month ago. Last month, Audi Finance, announced the launch of Audi CarLife –Advance in India - a comprehensive package on the Audi A4, Audi A6 and Audi Q5 - that covers car financing, insurance, service plan and extended warranty. In May, Audi India sold 450 cars bringing its 2012 tally so far to 3,281 units in the first five months as against 2,394 units in the year-earlier period.
