Ashok Leyland, which is seeing good market traction with its AVTR range of heavy-duty commercial vehicles, has launched the new AVTR 4825 10x4 48 tonner tipper with patented dual tyre lift axle and heavy duty bogie suspension.

This new truck is launched in the AVTR modular platform with a 29 cubic metre load body. It is powered by the company’s patented iGen6 technology-equipped  249bhp engine which develops  900 Nm torque. The engine is mated to a nine-speed gearbox with crawler gear and optimised gear ratios to suit a variety of construction and mining applications.

Driver ergonomics and comfort are accorded priority. Ashok Leyland says the cabin offers driver comfort on rough terrains thanks to a suspended cab with dampers, suspended driver seat, anti-roll bar, ample storage space, music system and optional AC.

The new AVTR 4825 gets anti-toppling sensors for improved safety while tipping and also digital solutions like i-Alert (advanced telematics) and remote diagnostics supported by 24×7 customer assistance uptime solution centre and the company’s Service Mandi network.
Commenting on the new model launch, Anuj Kathuria, COO, Ashok Leyland, said, “With the launch of the AVTR 4825 tipper with bogie suspension, which is the latest addition in the AVTR range, we continue to maintain the lead in terms of
technology and innovation, for our customers. This adds an integral layer of strength and reliability, which is crucial to the tough operating environment of tippers.”
