Ashok Leyland inks MoU with auto skills body
Mumbai, January 21, 2014: Ashok Leyland said it has signed an MoU with Automotive Skills Development Corporation, the first sector-skill council in the country. Promoted jointly by the Indian automotive industry and the government of India (represented by the Department of Heavy Industry and National Skill Development Corporation), ASDC conducts skill development programmes for the automobile sector - across all segments.

Promoted jointly by the Indian automotive industry and the government of India (represented by the Department of Heavy Industry and National Skill Development Corporation), ASDC conducts skill development programmes for the automobile sector - across all segments.
As its affiliate training partner, ASDC will endorse Ashok Leyland's course modules designed to benefit the overall auto ecosystem through quality training and certification.
N V Balachandar, executive director, human resources, Ashok Leyland, said, “This accreditation will make young people entering the business more competitive by offering them a structured curriculum that integrates industry needs with emerging trends and offers hands-on training.
