Ashok Leyland delivers 10,000th BS VI vehicle
The company achieved the 10,000 mark within six months of commencing deliveries.
Chennai based commercial vehicle manufacturer, Ashok Leyland said it has delivered the 10,000th BS VI vehicle. The company began delivering its BS VI trucks starting January 2020, to customers in Delhi-NCR and have achieved the 10,000 mark within six months of commencing deliveries.
In a tweet, that the company posted on their social media handle read, we are delighted to have delivered the 10,000th BS VI vehicle.
Ashok Leyland received its BS VI certification from ARAI and started producing BS VI trucks from January 2020. Also, in June, the commercial vehicle manufactured launched its range of modular trucks, AVTR, equipped with i-Gen6 BS VI technology.
The modular platform is a first of its kind in the Indian commercial vehicle industry with multiple options of axle configurations, loading spans, cabins, suspensions, and drivetrains on a single platform for the entire range of Rigid trucks, Tippers and Tractors in the 18.5T to 55T category. This enables customers to configure vehicles that are best-suited to their applications and business needs.
The BS VI range of trucks and buses are equipped with innovations to suit Indian conditions. Ashok Leyland have effectively met the BS VI emission norms through a combination of proven iEGR technology and a SCR system ensuring it builds upon its dependable engine platform and deliver better TCO to its customers.
