Ashok Leyland bags order for 1,200 trucks from VRL Logistics

The order is for 600 units each of the 3123 and 3723 models, which will come fitted with the latest advanced features and technologies enabling reduced maintenance time, fewer stopovers and better efficiency.

Ashok Leyland bags order for 1,200 trucks from VRL Logistics

Ashok Leyland has bagged a big-ticket order for 1,200 trucks, worth over Rs 350 crore, from VRL Logistics Ltd (VRL), one of the largest logistics companies in India. The order comprises 600 units each of the ‘3123’ and ‘3723’ models.

The trucks will come fitted with the latest advanced features and technologies, which will help VRL to have a reduced maintenance time, fewer stopovers and better efficiency resulting in better uptime and increased profitability.

Commenting on the new business, Vinod Dasari, MD, Ashok Leyland, said, “VRL Logistics and Ashok Leyland have a long-standing relationship which surpasses the usual customer, vendor relationship. VRL has, over the years, not only been our customers but have also worked very closely with us in developing new products which suit various customers.
