July 4, 2012: The Pune-based ARAI has started a series of Proficiency Improvement Programmes (PIPs) through its Academy. The next five-day PIP on ‘Vehicle Body Engineering’ is scheduled at ARAI, Pune from July 23-27 in association with Braunschweig University, Germany and Volkswagen India, Pune.
The speakers, who are from Braunschweig University, Germany, Volkswagen India, ARAI and industry, will cover the following topics:

· Integrated Design of Truck Cab for Occupant Safety, and Structural Integrity
· Vehicle Body NVH
· Materials for Vehicle Body
A visit to ARAI’s Passive Safety Lab, Safety and Homologation Lab, Automotive Materials Lab and Knowledge Center is also planned.
