Electric mobility is taking over the headlines the world over. The latest update from India on the subject is TVS Motor Co taking a stake in a Bangalore-based electric vehicle start-up, Ultraviolette Automotive. What’s more, the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), the apex R&D and testing body in India with rich experience in the automotive domain, has also announced plans to set up a Centre of Excellence for electric mobility in Pune.

Pune, a strong automotive hub of vehicle and component manufacturers, is also the venue for ARAI’s ITEC INDIA 2017 (International Transportation Electrification Conference India) organised by SAE India, IAS (Industry Applications Society) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in association with ARAI on the theme of ‘Electrical Vehicle Ecosystem – Resetting the Future of Mobility’.

To be held in ARAI's 'home city' Pune, at the Westin from December 13-15, the mega event on e-mobility will bring together the think-tanks from the automotive fraternity and the electrical and electronics industry to deliberate on innovations and research for electrification of the transportation sector. The conference blends the expertise and experience of the organisers – Society of Automotive Engineers India, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and ARAI.
