The Pune-based Advik Hi-Tech, the leading global automotive component manufacturer, has won six orders for supply of transmission oil pumps from Magna Powertrain, the largest independent supplier of 4WD/AWD systems globally. Magna Powertrain is a part of Magna International, a global automotive supplier with leadership in product capabilities, which include body, chassis, exterior, seating, powertrain, active driver assistance, vision, closure, and roof systems.

Advik estimates these orders to generate sales revenues of approximately Rs 350 crore (US$ 51 million approximately) over its lifetime and expected to commence from the calendar year 2018. The order contract is for the design, development, and manufacture of driveline oil pumps for passenger cars and SUVs. The oil pump will be instated by Magna Powertrain on its 4WD transfer cases to be assembled in Mexico, Germany, and Austria.

These oil pumps have been developed by the Advik Group’s R&D wing along with its technical partner, Trochocentric GmbH, Germany. Advik has also set up a warehouse in Mexico to enable it to be closer to Magna’s assembly plant.
