Delivering the keynote address, Abhay Firodia, chairman of the Pune-based Force Motors, said that “empowerment and inclusiveness at the cost of merit and quality is terrible in the country. There are over 100 million children in schools today in India. In the next decade they will become potential human resource and productive citizens of India. We need to seriously address the need to develop serious skill-sets in them. Without discipline, no organisation can be productive. Prime minister Narendra Modi has set a good direction for the country. For the first time, we have a leader who understands what is actually required for development and progress.”
Commenting on the Make In India initiative, he said: "Make in India doesn't mean only import and assemble. It means make here and make for the world. If we miss this bus now, we will miss it for another century."
