About 60 companies including 48 tier-2 players took part the first Acma buyer-seller meeting in Pune last week. This was the first one in western India after the inaugural meeting in Ludhiana.

Nirmal k Minda, who heads Acma’s supplier group has said that Tier1 players have to help smaller players and this being done via finance and other initiatives to help smaller players scale up on quality.

Suppliers face the challenge of trying to be international quality suppliers. “So we thought we must strengthen the tier two and three in order to make our industry global. We need to give them a platform so that they get opportunities. Hence the Acma buyer-seller meeting,” Minda added.
