M&M to begin tractor production at new plant in Zaheerabad

December 17, 2012: Mahindra & Mahindra is to begin production of tractors in January 2013 at its new plant at Zaheerabad in the Medak district of Andhra Pradesh.

The company’s existing plant at Zaheerabad, which is 136km from Hyderabad, has a production capacity of 85,000 units per annum and rolls out Utility Vehicles (Maxx, Camper, Camper Gold, Camper Lifestyle, Bolero DI, Bolero Plus, BMT), ?LCVs (Pickup and 15-42 seater buses) and 3-wheelers (Alfa passenger, Alfa Load-carrier, Alfa CNG).

M&M is to invest Rs 300 crore in the new tractor manufacturing facility, which will have a production capacity of 90,000 units per annum.
