VST Tillers Tractors unveils electric tractor at Agritechnica 2023

Farm equipment manufacturer showcases indigenously developed electric VST Fieldtrac 929 EV along with two other new products

Bengaluru-based VST Tillers Tractors, a leading farm equipment manufacturer, has displayed three brand-new tractors, including its indigenously developed electric tractor, at Agritechnica 2023, the world's leading trade fair for agricultural machinery being held in Hanover, Germany from November 12-18.

The three new products – 929 EV, 932 DI with Stage V engine and 929 with HST Transmission – are showcased under the company’s Fieldtrac brand. VST also has on display its state-of-the-art Stage V 24.5hp engine (24.5hp).

As per VST Tillers Tractors, the electric VST Fieldtrac 929 EV tractor, which had its global unveiling at Agritechnica 2023, is the outcome of thorough research and testing by the company’s R&D team for the past three years.

The fully in-house developed VST Fieldtrac 929 EV is equipped with a 25kWH battery, and its motor delivers a maximum torque of 110 Nm. The VST 929 EV is a feature-filled, zero-emission tractor which has dual-acting power steering, superior styling, top-notch ergonomics and is suitable for multiple applications. The VST Fieldtrac 929 EV has a lift capacity of 1250 kilograms.

VST states that it has been already supplying EV solutions for agricultural machines and drivetrains for electric tractors to leading farm equipment manufacturers in the US.

Fieldtrac 932 DI State V and 929 HST with loader

The second VST product on show at Agritechnica this year is the VST 932 DI Stage V techno-compact tractor. The three-cylinder engine in the 32 hp category delivers maximum torque of 109.4 Nm and offers best-in-class power and torque in its segment, according to the company. The VST 932 DI Stage V is capable of handling a wide range of applications and can be used with a range of attachments.

There is also the Fieldtrac 929 HST with Loader which is designed for smaller operations of landscaping and offers flexibility and ease of operation, and better steering control. The HST tractor is powered by a four-cylinder Stage-V 1306cc engine that develops 72.2 Nm torque.

VST, which is the largest Indian manufacturer of Tillers and among the leading producers of the tractors, engines, transmission, power reapers and precision components, also exports products to European, Asian, and African markets.

In August 2023, the company introduced six compact tractor models under Series 9. In October, it introduced the VST-Zetor brand which will soon roll out new feature-laden tractors with higher horsepower in the Indian market.
